Reading Fair Competition

Tupelo Middle School Library sponsored its 2nd annual reading fair on January 14, 2008.  The reading fair is a competition that allows to students to enhance their love for reading by having them to construct a creative story board. The students are required to include the story elements such as the setting, tone, conflict and solution.  They are encouraged to use pictures, artifacts and other creative innuendos to produce a scene from the book to help the viewers understand the book.

The students could participate in 3 categories: Individual, Group and Family.  The 1st place winners from our school go to compete in the District competition and the District 1st place winners go on to participate in Regional competition that will be held in Oxford, MS on February 23, 2008.
