

Students from seven states gathered in Tupelo March 2, 3, & 4 for the International Junior Thespian Festival. Students from each school were allowed to enter an individual event in one of the following categories: monologue, solo musical theatre, duet acting and pantomime. Eighty-eight entries were rated by the theatre professional from the other schools. Three of the eleven superiors granted were give to Tupelo Middle School students-Nathan Wallace for his contrasting monologues, Mary Katherine Phillips and Madison Dyson for duet acting, and Phillip Miner and Zach Goodrich for an original pantomime.
