Recognitions
The Board recognized Mr. David Henson who has been a longtime supporter of TPSD as evident by his recent donation to Tupelo High School of 550 classroom sets of 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. These books will be used annually in the Freshman Mentoring Program.

Discussion continued on the Quarterly Update of the TPSD Strategic Plan.

The Timed Phasing of TPSD Strategic Plan – Goal 1, Sub Goal A. Objective 1. was discussed.
Goal 1. To establish an educational climate that motivates each student to learn and perform at the highest level possible, that values and celebrates learning and that is safe and secure.
Sub-Goal A. Promote Learning to the highest levels.
Objective 1. By 2010 ensure that students in the Tupelo Public Schools are achieving at the following levels. (A list of these levels were presented and will be distributed to all principals.)
Report on 2005-2006 Revenue and Usage of the THS Performing Arts Center and Civic Auditorium
Mr. Bob Monroe presented a prepared report which summarized rental and usage information at the THS Performing Arts Center and Civic Auditorium during the 2005-2006 school year.
