Student Prank Backfires at THS
Date:December 12, 2007
Wednesday, December 12, 2007
Between first and second period today at Tupelo High School, pepper spray was sprayed on a piece of furniture as a prank. While the spray was not directed at any student, the fumes were released into the air and resulted in respiratory irritation of some students. On-site nurses responded to the situation, and out of an abundance of caution other medical personnel were contacted. Tupelo High School administrators have identified the student involved and are cooperating with legal authorities.
Our main goal is to ensure a safe learning environment for the students in the Tupelo Public School District. Thank you for your continued support.
