Rankin has "Let the Learning Begin"!

Let the learning begin... Rankin School enjoyed a first day of school filled with lots of excitement!  As the students arrived, a gold medal was placed around their neck because we know that each and every student is a winner!  With the world emphasis and focus on the Olympics we wanted to relay that same message to our students - as a team at Rankin, we can all work together with our special talents and become a winning team!!  With the expectations of being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE AND RESOURCEFUL, the students will be on fire for learning! 

We enjoyed many festivities on the first day of school including our 1st 2008-2009 broadcast from our WKRR tv station with announcements and torch reciting pledge that continued through the halls of each building!  At the end of the day, classes marched into the Activity Building to the Olympic Fanfare proudly displaying their class banners, singing Rankin songs and reciting important pledges!  We know we can be the best we want to be!  Mrs. Scott shared many examples of students doing the right thing - being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE AND RESOURCEFUL!!  We are off to a terrific school year!  Enjoy the pictures...
