Pierce Street Elementary was awarded a $5900 grant by the Association for Excellence in Education for a state of the art weather tower. When completed, the data generated by the weather tower will be accessible on line for science students across the district to use. Plans are also in place for WTVA to integrate the weather tower into its weather broadcasts.
