Lawndale Elementary teacher Kathy England had no idea that the power point at the faculty meeting on Wednesday, September 24th, was all about her! Chris Gannon, manager of Walmart, came to Lawndale to present Kathy England, 4th grade teacher, with the prestigious award of Walmart Teacher of the Year. She will now enter the race for Mississippi's Walmart Teacher of the Year. Mrs. England was presented with a Walmart card and Lawndale Elementary was presented with a $1000.00 dollar check. Mrs. England always goes above and beyond for her students and for Lawndale Elementary. We are so proud of her!
