The “Pennies for Patients” project conducted by students in Sally Amos’ Challenge class has netted $2149.00! Designed as a Service Learning Project, the proceeds will go to help children who are battling blood cancers. Sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the project involved all students at Lawndale who evidenced, once again, their concern for others.
Homeroom winners are:
4th grade—Mrs. Young’s class with $135.23
5th grade—Mrs. Weems’ class with $330.87
6th grade—Mrs. Holliday’s class with $266.15
The winning homerooms will have lunch from McDonald’s to thank them for their hard work.
Lawndale salutes its generous students, Mrs. Amos and the Challenge students for this wonderful activity.
