On Tuesday, October 23, 2007, Lee County Sheriff, Jim Johnson will be visiting Lawndale Elementary School. He will be bringing his comical, humorous, dynamic, “Andy Griffith Mayberry” appeal to our school as he speaks with the children about upholding the law and being drug free. Sheriff Johnson states that the use of drugs is a serious problem, not only among high school aged students, but among middle and elementary school aged students as well. Many students today are unaware of the powerful nature and effects of these substances.
He will also be bringing two very special guests, Baco and Cuatro, the Drug Free Dogs. He will use them to give a positive and motivating message as he tells the children why it is important to remain drug free.
